The first phase of Self-Enumeration begins on May 7th. You can fill out your own and your family's details online from the comfort of your home.
This is your duty; this is your right:
It is through the Census that it is determined how many schools, hospitals, roads, and utilities—such as electricity and water—are required in your village, city, or neighborhood. Accurate government schemes can only be formulated based on the accurate information you provide.
Performing Self-Enumeration is very easy—just 8 steps:
1. **Open the Website:** Visit https://se.census.gov.in
2. **Register:** Enter the name of the Head of the Household and their mobile number; verify using the OTP.
3. **Select Language:** Choose from a selection of 18 languages, including Hindi and English.
4. **Fill in Address:** Enter your State, District, Village/City, and House Number; then mark your home on the map.
5. **Answer 33 Questions:** Provide details regarding your home's structure (pucca/kaccha), access to electricity and water, toilet facilities, ownership of TV/Mobile/Internet devices, family members, etc.
6. **Submit the Form:** Review all the information carefully and click 'Submit'.
7. **Safeguard your SE ID:** You will receive a unique Self-Enumeration ID.
8. **That's It!** When a Census enumerator visits your home, simply show them this SE ID. You will not need to fill out any details again.
