Income Tax Laws have changed now. Assesses Individual & HUF whose accounts are not required to be audited under section 44AB have to file their Income Tax Return for FY 2017-18 (AY 2018-19) by due date I. e. July 31st.18.
Failing to file return by due date shall attract penalty of Rs.5000/= from Aug.1 to Dec.31,18 thereafter Rs.10000/= from Jan.1 to March 31, 18 the LAST DATE TO FILE RETURN.

Assesses whose tax liability exceeds Rs.10000/=after eligible deductions are liable to deposit advance tax in 4 installments by 15th.of March. As such 3rd. instalment is due to be deposited by 15th.of December 17.

Dear Friends

Last date to file your Income Tax return for F. Y.2015-16 is 31st.March 2017. It is therefore advised to file it as early as possible to avoid interest and penalty.
Further Income Tax return for F.Y.2014-15 can only be filed by 31st.March otherwise it will be time barred.
