*Centre Proposes New IT Rules Requiring Labels on AI-Generated Content*

What changes :-

1.A clear definition of “synthetically generated information”;

2.The law doesn’t clearly mention punishments for people who repeatedly share misleading AI content. Instead, social media platforms will handle it themselves through warnings, suspensions, or bans.

3.Mandatory AI labelling on videos or images shared on social media

I on behalf of Karbi Anglong Legal Forum , fortunate to witness the dedication and leadership of Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, CEM, KAAC, who successfully held talks between the Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam.

During the discussion, the Chief Minister of Assam clearly stated that the land of Karbi Anglong is not included in the “give and take” policy, as the boundary of Karbi Anglong was already notified in 1951. Therefore, there is no question of inclusion under the give and take policy. The Chief Minister further mentioned that this policy applies only to areas where boundary notifications were not issued after the formation of the state of Meghalaya.
