Anand Sharma, Sunil Beniwal, Mukesh Rajpurohit, and Sandeep Shah have been appointed as judges of the Rajasthan High Court, in that order of seniority. This decision was made following the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium, which proposed seven names on March 7, 2025 .

The notification issued by Joint Secretary Jagannath Srinivasan stated that the appointments will take effect from the date the new judges assume their offices . With these additions, the total strength of the Rajasthan High Court will rise to 37 judges .

Here’s a brief background on the new judges:
Anand Sharma:-Advocate from Jaipur
Sunil Beniwal:-Advocate from Jodhpur
Mukesh Rajpurohit:-Advocate from Jodhpur
Sandeep Shah:-Advocate from Jodhpur
These appointments are expected to improve case disposal rates and ease the burden on the existing judiciary.
