Trademark and Patent agents to be regulated Delhi High Court. The absence of a supervisory or regulatory entity supervising the actions of trademark and patent agents has aroused concerns. While there are eligibility standards and examinations in place for individuals to qualify as patent agents under the Patents Act and Rules, these agents are not covered by the Bar Council of India or the Advocates' Act, 1961, according to the court.
