Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2020

The benefit under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) would be given to employers which fulfil the following conditions,
1. Declared total count of employees by the establishment within the period from September 2019 to February 2020, must be less than 100
2. Total wages of 90% of the declared employees must be less than 15000.
3. UAN of the employee must be linked with Aadhar otherwise benefit will not be available for the employee
4. Establishments already availing the Employer share reduction under PMRPY-2016, will continue to avail the benefit under PMRPY-2016 and can still be given the benefit under PMGKY for employee share if they fulfill the above conditions.

The government is planning to raise the wage ceiling for the social security schemes run by the EPFO, the retirement fund body, to Rs 25,000 per month from Rs 15,000 now. The hike could add 50 lakh formal sector workers to around the four crore contributing PF subscribers.
