RBI Update!!
A Major update came from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on September 14, 2020 that banks must fully automate the classification of borrower's account as NPA and the calculation of provisions to be made against these advances.

In order to ensure the completeness and integrity of the automated Asset Classification (classification of advances/ investments as NPA/NPI and their upgradation), Provisioning calculation, and Income Recognition processes (IRAC), banks are advised to put in place/upgrade their systems to conform latest by June 30, 2021.
