PACPET’s “Law in Action” Workshop Equips Law Students with Practical Legal Skills

The Phule Ambedkar Centre for Philosophical and English Training (PACPET) successfully conducted a 5-day residential workshop titled “Law in Action: Bridging Philosophy, Proficiency, Practice” for law students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The program ran from May 8 to May 12, 2026.

Law students Pavan, Nitin, Harsh*th, and Sandeep coordinated the workshop.

Key Sessions
Day 1: Advocate Srikanth Chintala led the session on Constitutional Law and Practice.

Day 2: Senior Designated Advocate Raghunath Verose conducted the session on Human Rights Law and Practice.

Day 3: Senior Advocate Dasharatha Arella handled Criminal Law Practice.

Day 4: Advocate Gajjela Venkata Reddy delivered the session on Civil Law Practice.

Day 5: The organisers invited Dr Advocate Nalamasa Krishna and Dr Karthik Navayan Battula Advocate as judges for the moot court session.

Participants expressed high satisfaction with the program, noting that it transformed their understanding of legal practice. Many shared that they previously had limited exposure to how the law operates in real-world settings. After the intensive five days, they gained confidence in legal practice and a clearer grasp of practical issues, courtroom procedures, advocacy skills, and the societal role of law.

The workshop successfully bridged theoretical knowledge with hands-on insights, empowering aspiring lawyers with the tools and perspective needed for effective legal practice.

Scientific political analyst and psephologist. Dr Balaboina Sudarshan

Dr Balaboina Sudarshan, Director of the Phule Ambedkar Centre for Philosophical and English Training (PACPET) and a faculty member associated with Osmania University's PG College of Law in Hyderabad, is known for his work as a political analyst and psephologist.

He has spent over 15 years studying voting patterns and election dynamics, earning attention for predictions that aligned with the outcomes of Telangana elections.

Following his recent analysis predicting success for Tamil Nadu's emerging political figure Vijay (after visits to the state), a group of his friends, Dr Nalamasa Krishna and Kolluri Bharat, and approximately 40 followers and acquaintances organised an interaction and felicitation event at Golkonda Resort in Hyderabad. Attendees expressed curiosity about his unconventional methods, which reportedly avoid traditional survey tools like questionnaires or notebooks in favour of observational and emotional intelligence techniques (details of which he keeps as professional insights).

Dr Sudarshan has shared his findings on social media and other public platforms, where some candidates and observers later reflected on the value of his assessments. He remains an active speaker on socio-political issues, the philosophy of Phule and Ambedkar, and contemporary Indian politics.
