The vehicle allegedly used to transport 15 bulls for slaughter, which violated provisions under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1955 was confiscated. The accused confessed to transporting the bulls for slaughter, leading to the invocation of Sections 3, 5-A, and 8 of the Act. Additionally, the vehicle's use in the offense under Section 11(1)(d) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, was established. Consequently, the Allahabad High Court in AIROnline 2024 ALL 14 upheld the confiscation order, reasoning that the vehicle had been used in offenses related to animal cruelty and thus could not be quashed.
