First Round of Applications for Empanelment of Arbitrators

The International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC), Hyderabad invites qualified and independent arbitrators to apply for empanelment.

We seek practitioners with a proven record in commercial, international or specialised arbitration, strong procedural judgment and a commitment to impartiality and timely case management. The panel includes multiple levels and sector expertise to ensure inclusivity across experience and practice areas. Empanelled arbitrators will be considered for IAMC-administered appointments and given opportunities to shape institutional practice.

International Arbitration and Mediation Center, Hyderabad (IAMC) is proud to support the 3rd AIADR International Mediation Competition, organized by the AIADR Secretariat in collaboration with Nanning International Arbitration Court (NIAC).

The competition provides law students with a valuable platform to develop mediation, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills while engaging with international mediators, judges, and participants from diverse jurisdictions.

It was a privilege for IAMC, Hyderabad to lead a session at NAREDCO Telangana’s annual meeting, to listen directly to some of the most frequent users of arbitration, i.e. those in the construction sector, and to understand their pain points and challenges when dealing with dispute resolution.

This was a wonderful opportunity to introduce a new audience to IAMC’s model clauses, and how institutional dispute resolution can streamline the dispute resolution process, with a particular focus on the efficiency gains and ability to preserve long term business relationships that the adoption of hybrid processes like Med-Arb and Arb-Med-Arb bring to the table.

In furthering the aims of the Mediation Act, 2023, in developing and fostering community mediation, IAMC recently conducted a Community Mediation Orientation Programme for the MahaBalijaDispute Resolution Council (MBDRC) in Hyderabad.

The day-long orientation was led by Mr. Jawad A J. covered the role of mediation in addressing relationship-driven disputes in closely knit community and business contexts, outlining the distinction between formal mediation and community mediation.

Interactive roleplays with the participants familiarised them with ⁠reframing and de-escalation techniques, different conflict management styles and the role of emotions and how to manage them constructively.

IAMC remains committed to supporting initiatives that bridge traditional community practices with structured mediation frameworks, enabling more accessible and harmonious dispute resolution.

IAMC Hyderabad was pleased to host the Society for Construction Law, India, and the School of Law – Dhirubhai Ambani University's Industry-Academia Dialogue on “Delay & Disruption in Infrastructure Projects: Measurement, Responsibility, and Resolution”.

We are grateful to our distinguished speakers. Hon’ble Justice Mr. challa kodandaram – Former Judge, High Court for the State of Telangana; Mr. Anil Kumar Kamisetty – Chairman & Managing Director, KPC Projects Limited; Dr. Dr. Venkat Reddy Donthi Reddy – Senior Advocate, High Court for the State of Telangana; and Dr. Pradeep Reddy Sarvareddy – Advocate & Arbitration Professional for their insights and Ms. Alisha Mehta – Assistant Professor of Law, Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law for her expert moderation of the session.

It was a privilege for IAMC to support the inaugural RIMAC RCL International ADR Conference 2026, hosted by Ramaiah College of Law. A key focus of the conference was the role of ADR in increasing access to justice.

Our Registrar Mr Jawad A J joined a panel on how Institutions can take ADR to the last mile, with our Deputy Registrar Niksh*ta Niranjan moderating a panel on the Mediation Act of 2023, focusing on transforming legislative intent into practice on the ground.

Our fellow colleagues, Aparna Panicker & Romit Sarkar, were pleased to support the students competing in the moot by adjudicating the post-break rounds and providing valuable feedback to the participants.

We commend Ramaiah College of Law for having hosted such a well-curated event.

IAMC Hyderabad was recently pleased to host Mr. Madhav Pudipeddi for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JustAct.

This partnership aims to bring directly to the users of IAMC’s services a secure, purpose-built case management system inclusive of virtual hearing rooms, document management, transcription services and more.

We also look forward to working with JustAct closely as supporting partners in the promotion of institutionalised mediation and arbitration through a series of webinars and related events.

We are pleased to share that we successfully concluded our 2-day Tribunal Secretary Training Course held on 27th and 28th February 2026.

Organised by IAMC Hyderabad in collaboration with Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), the programme focused on the evolving role of tribunal secretaries, legal and ethical frameworks, case management, drafting practices, and the award process.

Day 1 was led by Datuk Professor Sundra Rajoo and Anirudh Krishnan, who covered the foundations of arbitration and the scope and limits of the tribunal secretary’s role.
Day 2 was conducted by Vishal Aggarwal and Isha Sinha, with tutorials on case management, drafting, and document production, including the use of the Redfern Schedule.

The course included an assessment component, and participants who successfully qualify are eligible for empanelment as Tribunal Secretaries with IAMC Hyderabad and AIADR.

We thank our faculty and participants for their engagement and contribution in making this programme a success.
