Mobile Apps and How Scams Happen

With the growing dependence on mobile phone for everything- right from taking photographs , to message, keep sensitive information, photos, videos, and private information as well, the mobile app scam has cleverly exploited this changeover. These Loan Sharks understand that the common man is extremely dependent on the mobile phone for everything and will have sensitive information secure with password. So in the same of giving money and easy credit, they ask for the permissions of EVERYTHING in the phone to apply for the loan- calls, camera, sound, contact list and ask for the images of the customer. They call this a FORMALITY for getting the loan approved within FIVE MINUTES.

In the desperation to get money and to handle the pressure of finances, customers are falling for this trap and giving open access to all the mobile information to these loan managements. They keep this information secure UNTIL THE DUE DATE and from day of DUE DATE, they use this information against the customer by saying they will forward all the sensitive information to the reference contacts. Interestingly, they keep this information and OPENLY BLACKMAIL the customers.

In the fear of humiliation in front of friends and relatives, and to keep the reputation intact, the customers are either taking money from friends/family or making extra debts- falling in deep financial crunch even more. This particular fear is being exploited by the instant loan app management.

They are already doing an illegal business, and on top of that , they are harassing the customers and blackmailing the customers to pay at any cost.

People, understand that this is the only fear they are exploiting on. Inform your friends and relatives about this SCAM and tell them to ignore if such calls occur. It is high time we secure ourselves. This scam is bigger than we think.

Make your friends and relatives aware of how exactly the scams are happening. Tell them it was NOT your fault to take a loan. Taking loan is not a crime- but BLACKMAILING is.

There is absolutely no need to feel humiliated. You haven’t don’t anything wrong. Financial crunches happen for everyone and COVID- 19 has been even harsher to us all. So please be free of self-blame.

Make people at your office place aware of what is happening and how the police is investigating this scam.

The day is very soon ahead when the Central Government will BAN ALL THESE APPS PERMANENTLY.

Meet the 'unethical' Recovery agents of instant loan apps :

1. These people have NO respect for the customer. In a county like India where service sector is greatly valued, these agents call the customer and start bashing with ridiculous Hindi cuss words.
2. They don't listen to the customer's issues (network problem, banking issues) and don't care to assist the customer at all. Why are they charging processing fees and service charge if they can't do this?
3. WhatsApp monsters : some of these recovery agents use WhatsApp with unknown identity or a company seal just to give fear to the customer. 'you pay now or i cal reference contacts'. This is their way of messaging and talking to the customer.
4. Forget speaking in English. None of them CANNOT speak their local language also without a bad word.
5. Next level madness : they give ultimatum to pay and if the customer fails, they should add a late fee and politely inform. NO. THEY WILL CALL THE CONTACTS AND ABUSE THEM. use cheap editing tactics on mobile and brand the customer as fraud. Which court has given this law to blackmail customers??
6. Talk some idiotic rules about legal department, stamp papers, pay before 4pm, we should send files to update. UTTER BU****IT.

Citizens of India, please forward this writeup to as many people as you can via WhatsApp, Facebook or any media. This scam needs to be exposed. This mental harassment needs to end.

Are you being Blackmailed by the ruthless recovery agents saying your contacts will be called if you fail to repay in time?

Yes. You have guessed it right. We are talking about the 'Instant loan app' scam that had become the cause of deaths in India this year.

With covid - 19 already leading to loss of jobs in India, an instant loan app looked like a relief for the middle class and young students for surviving the money crunch. The process was easy, disbursal was fast and problem solved in minutes!

The problem is solved? HELL NO.

These loans are given at a high interest rate, processing fee and the borrower is expected to repay in 7 days itself.

From the due date, the harassment calls of uneducated, rough and insulting recovery agents starts for the borrower. They abuse, threaten and thrash the confidence of the customer. Being completely deaf to the pleas of the customers, they just demand to pay -either loot, or sell your kidney to do it!!! ATROCIOUS ISN'T IT?

If the customer fails to pay, they defame them by making WhatsApp group, calling the customer a fraud, and defame the customer in front of the family and relatives. Many are feeling humiliated because of this and falling in more debts to solve it.
