Law Reform Commission recommends funded for Hong Kong:- Hong Kong’s Law Reform Commission has recommended that a scheme to promote wider use of arbitration be tested for the next three years, in a bid to adopt a “light touch” and settle more disputes out of court.

On 23rd and 24th of September Indian Institute of Technical Arbitrators (IITArb) organised a two days in , India. Lawsenate law firm, an expert arbitration law firm, handling various high value international Arbitrations and domestic Arbitrations was the knowledge partner of the event. Mr S Ravi Shankar an International and Domestic Arbitration lawyer presented a paper on “Selection and determination of Applicable laws in International arbitration” in the conference. The said paper dealt with the importance of expressly selecting applicable laws while entering into international contracts, various important factors which have to be kept in mind while selecting the applicable laws and in case of failure of the parties to expressly select the applicable laws how the arbitrators should select them. His paper and the presentation were well appreciated by the delegates.
