The new TRAI Regulation, 2017 has made it mandatory that the MSO shall share minimum 45% of carriage fee with its LCO.

Earlier, It was not mandatory for an MSO to share the carriage fee with broadcaster.

The Special CBI Court today acquitted all the accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh Fake Encounter case. The verdict was pronounced a few minutes back.

The Special CBI Judge SJ Sharma observed that there was no substantial evidence to prove the charges of conspiracy and alleged fake encounter killings of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsiram Prajapati and the murder of Sheikh’s wife Kausar Bi.

Rashtriya Janata Dal MLA Raj Ballabh Yadav has been sentenced to life imprisonment for ra**ng a minor girl in 2016. The conviction means Yadav will lose his membership of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. On December 15, a local court in Patna had convicted Yadav and five others in a case of r**e of a minor girl two years ago. The court had fixed December 21 as the next date for hearing the arguments on the issue of quantum of punishment (sentence).
