ये सोचने का विषय है कि पिछले कुछ सालों से समाज का पतन कही अधिक हो रहा है।

अब "गांव और शहर" के लोग जितने खुशहाल दिखते हैं उतने हैं नहीं।
ज्यादातर लोग जमीनों के केस, पानी के केस, खेत-मेढ के केस, रास्ते के केस, मुआवजे के केस,बंजर तालाब के झगड़े, ब्याह शादी के झगड़े , दीवार के केस,आपसी मनमुटाव, चुनावी रंजिशों और हिस्से की लड़ाईयों ने समाज को खोखला कर दिया है।

अब "गांव और शहर" वो नहीं रहे कि "बस" या अन्य 'वाहनो' में गांव की लडकी या बुजुर्ग को देखते ही सीट खाली कर देते थे लोग ।
दो चार "थप्पड" गलती पर किसी बड़े बुजुर्ग या ताऊ ने ठोंक दिए तो मामला नहीं बनता था तब। लेकिन अब..आप जानते ही है
अब सब पूरी तरह बंटे हुए लोग हैं। "गांव और शहर" में अब एक दूसरे के उपलब्धियों का सम्मान करने वाले, प्यार से सिर पर हाथ रखने वाले लोग संभवतः अब मिलने मुश्किल हैं, जहां हंसी हंसी में सैकड़ो जुट जाया करते थे वहां अब इकठ्ठे होने का नाम तक नही लेते..

हालात इस कदर "खराब" है कि अगर पडोसी फलां व्यक्ति को वोट देगा तो हम नहीं देंगे। इतनी नफरत कहां से आई है लोगों में ये सोचने और चिंतन का विषय है

संयुक्त कुनबा और परिवार अब "गांवों और शहरों" में दुर्लभता से ही मिलते है, "लस्सी-दूध" की जगह यहां भी अब ड्यू, कोकाकोला, पेप्सी पिलाई जाने लगी है। बंटवारा केवल भारत का नहीं हुआ था, आजादी के बाद हमारा समाज भी बंटा है और शायद अब हम भरपाई की सीमाओं से भी अब बहुत दूर आ गए हैं। अब तो वक्त ही तय करेगा कि हम और कितना बंटेंगे।

अब हर आदमी मन मे ईर्ष्या से भरा हुआ है इसलिए इंसान ही इंसान को डस रहा है और सांप कोने में बैठा हंस रहा है ।
ऋषि मुनियों ने सही कहा है कलयुग में झूठे को स्वीकार किया जाएगा और ईमानदार का चारों तरफ से शिकार किया जाएगा ।

ये आज के समाज की सच्चई है जिसे नकारा नही जा सकता इसलिये अच्छाई के साथ रहे और बुराई से बचे ।
