In reference to SAS series on Setting and Running Business in India - Challenges and Benefits, today we are coming up with another challenge of opening a bank account and getting post incorporation registrations/permissions/licences.

After incorporation, a company mandatorily needs to open a bank account and may require different type of registrations/permissions/licences depending upon the nature of business proposed to be done.

Such registrations requires lot of paper work and number of steps to be followed to get the certificates. That’s why getting these registrations is exhaustive and time consuming.

Four days work week boon or bane and its practicability in India

Indian people are recognized as the most hard working people in world. They may leave their office premises after the official working hours. However, they continue to be working almost 24*7.

Now, this mindset is changing and a breath of fresh air has started coming in terms of four day work week. Ministry of Labour and Employment has proposed new labour law codes which are also giving Four days work week as an option to employers.

Research, experiments and trails conducted in India and other countries has arrayed the advantages to both employer and employees. That’s why Indian entrepreneurs are exploring this new way of working.

However, India needs to cover a long journey to implement this four days work week as mass organizations are still operating for 6 days in a week.

Accordingly, in India we cannot achieve the four day week work, then atleast we can make it a five days work week mandatory all over the country.
