We are delighted to announce the upcoming webinar of the NAAC Webinar series. The speaker for this session is Ms. Rachitta Rai, an alumna from the batch of 2007. She has had various experiences from working in firms like Mehra & Associates and Udwadia & Udeshi. Currently, Rachitta is a Partner at Lexolve Partners, Law Firm and Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India.
Article 21 of the Constitution is one of the most essential ones. This article has been interpreted in two parts, former entitling "Right to life" and latter talking about "Procedure established by law". So, keeping both of these in mind, the topic for this webinar is "Journey of the judiciary from a Supervisor to a Guardian-protector of the Constitution", furthering with discussion on how Article 21 of the Indian Constitution breathes the American jurisprudence of "Due Process of Law."
Rachitta would address some of the fundamental tenets of Constitutional law and latest developments in the Judiciary, as well as her own valuable experience garnered from working in this field for more than a decade. The Session will begin from 4:00 p.m. onwards on November 27, 2021. Looking forward to seeing you all!

We are elated to announce the successful completion of our webinar on "Litigation prospects in law firm v. independent practice".

The session started with the background information of both our speakers who are from law firm and independent practice respectively so as to draw a contrast between the two. The ball was set rolling into motion when the speakers started highlighting the kind of work life that awaits an individual in both the fields and what kind of attitude makes us fit for either of the career paths. The discussion moved on to more technical aspects like when or how to switch from a law firm and start independent practice, factors coming into play to make such a decision, etc. Lastly the discussion went about on how to decide what field is cut out for a law student by doing a temperament check, self analysis meanwhile giving us a clear picture of how it is going to be if we were to choose any of the fields by laying out boons and banes clear on the table. The moderator made sure the session went on systematically and the unbridled queries of the students were answered to at the end of the session.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude towards the speakers and the moderators for an engaging, enlightening and informative session and hope to continue this collaboration for future events as well!
