The Nuclear Law Association, India (www.nlain.org ) warmly invites you and your colleagues to its 9th training program on “Nuclear Energy and Law”, which will be held between Monday 11th to Friday 15th March, 2024, and includes a one-day site visit to the Kalpakam Nuclear Power Plant on the last day.

The course will be held at the SAI University, Chennai.

This multidisciplinary program will familiarize the participants with the basic understanding of nuclear science and technology; the functioning of a nuclear power plant; the role played by the IAEA; the various international nuclear treaties; the regulatory structures and liability regimes in various jurisdictions; including India’s nuclear laws and judicial decisions pertaining to the nuclear energy sector; environmental aspects (from waste to climate change), as well as the India Nuclear Insurance Pool.

The lecturers will include law professors, practicing lawyers, esteemed nuclear scientists, nuclear engineers, representatives from the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) as well as from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
