YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, popularly known as Beer Biceps, has approached the Supreme Court seeking relief in respect of the multiple FIRs lodged against him in various states for the offence of obscenity over the statements made by him during the 'India Got Latent' show.

Dr Abhinav Chandrachud mentioned the matter before Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna today. He said that it was a petition under Article 32 of the Constitution.

CJI Khanna said that a date has already been given for the petition. Though Chandrachud said that there was an apprehension of coercive action by the Assam police, CJI Khanna did not say anything further. CJI said that he does not allow oral mentionings and clarified that a listing date has been assigned.

As of date, FIRs have been registered by the Maharashtra Police and Assam Police over the statements, which created a huge outrage after they became viral on the social media. Later, Allahabadia issued a public apology, admitting that his comments were inappropriate.

In 2024, Allahbadia was presented the Disruptor of the Year award at the National Creators Award by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

YouTuber रणवीर इलाहाबादिया, जिसे बीयर बाइसेप्स के रूप में जाना जाता है, ने सर्वोच्च न्यायालय से संपर्क किया है, जो विभिन्न राज्यों में उनके खिलाफ दर्ज की गई कई फ़िरों के संबंध में राहत की मांग कर रहा है, जो 'इंडिया गॉट लेटेंट' शो के दौरान उनके द्वारा किए गए बयानों पर अश्लीलता के अपराध के लिए।

डॉ। अभिनव चंद्रचुद ने आज भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश संजीव खन्ना के समक्ष इस मामले का उल्लेख किया।
उन्होंने कहा कि यह संविधान के अनुच्छेद 32 के तहत एक याचिका थी।

CJI KHANNA ने कहा कि याचिका के लिए पहले ही एक तारीख दी जा चुकी है।
हालांकि चंद्रचुद ने कहा कि असम पुलिस द्वारा जबरदस्ती कार्रवाई की आशंका थी, CJI KHANNA ने आगे कुछ नहीं कहा।
CJI ने कहा कि वह मौखिक उल्लेख की अनुमति नहीं देता है और स्पष्ट किया है कि एक लिस्टिंग तिथि सौंपी गई है।

तारीख के अनुसार, महाराष्ट्र पुलिस और असम पुलिस द्वारा बयानों पर एफआईआर दर्ज किए गए हैं, जिसने सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने के बाद एक बड़ी नाराजगी पैदा की।
बाद में, इलाहाबादिया ने एक सार्वजनिक माफी जारी की, यह स्वीकार करते हुए कि उनकी टिप्पणियां अनुचित थीं।

2024 में, अल्लाहबादिया को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा राष्ट्रीय रचनाकारों के पुरस्कार में विघटनर ऑफ द ईयर पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया था।

Observation by high Court that No provision for granting exemption from personal appearance prior to obtaining bail is not correct, as the power to grant exemption from personal appearance under the Code31 should not be read in a restrictive manner as applicable only after the accused has been granted bail. This Court in Maneka Sanjay Gandhi and Another v. Rani Jethmalani32 held that the power to grant exemption from personal appearance should be exercised liberally when facts and circumstances require such exemption. Section 205 states that the Magistrate, exercising his discretion, may dispense with the personal attendance of the accused while issuing summons and allow them to appear through their pleader. While the provisions of the Code are considered exhaustive, cases arise where the Code is silent and the court has to make such an order as the ends of justice require. In such cases, the criminal court must act on the principle that every procedure which is just and fair is understood as permissible, until it is shown to be expressly or impliedly prohibited by law. It is also directed that Manager Singh shall be released.
