New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (NDDLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), organized a visit of 17 Law Interns to the CAW Cell, Mandir Marg Police Station, on 16.10.2026 as part of their internship programme.

During the visit, the interns were accompanied by Adv. Nandita Mishra, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC), who apprised them of the functioning of the CAW Cell and its role in addressing complaints relating to women, particularly matrimonial and domestic disputes. The interns were familiarized with the procedures followed by the concerned authorities in handling complaints, facilitating counselling, and assisting parties in resolving disputes, wherever appropriate.

The visit provided the interns with practical exposure to the functioning of the police system and enhanced their understanding of the role of law enforcement agencies in addressing women-related issues and ensuring access to justice.

New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (NDDLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), conducted a Door-to-Door Awareness Campaign at Ambedkar Basti, Near Ambedkar Park, Opposite Hyatt Hotel, on 14.10.2026, on the topics of Permanent Lok Adalat and Legal Services for Persons with Mental Illness.

Approximately 120 people were reached through the campaign. The initiative aimed to spread awareness among community members about their legal rights, the availability of free legal aid, and the importance of accessing legal services whenever required.

During the campaign, residents were informed about the functioning and benefits of Permanent Lok Adalat, particularly its role in resolving disputes relating to public utility services. Awareness was also created regarding the rights of persons with mental illness and the legal assistance available to them. Relevant pamphlets were distributed to provide information about legal services and promote greater awareness within the community. The public was also informed about the NALSA Helpline No. 15100 and DSLSA Helpline No. 1516, both available 24×7 for legal assistance.

New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (NDDLSA), under the aegis of NALSA & DSLSA, organized a visit of 17 NALSA Law Interns to JJB-2, Delhi Gate, New Delhi, and Observation Home for Boys, Delhi Gate, New Delhi, on 14.10.2026 as part of their Internship Programme.

During the visit, the interns were apprised of the functioning of the Juvenile Justice Board and the Observation Home for Boys, including the procedures and facilities relating to children in conflict with law. The visit provided the interns with practical exposure to the juvenile justice system and helped them understand the role of these institutions in the care, protection, and rehabilitation of children.

During the visit, the interns visited the DM Office (New Delhi District), Jamnagar House, and Tilak Marg Police Station, and were apprised of their functioning and various public services. The visit was facilitated by Ms. Nandita Mishra, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC), who assisted the interns in understanding the working of the concerned institutions. The visit provided the interns with practical exposure to the functioning of government institutions and helped them understand their role in public service delivery.

New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (NDDLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), organized an awareness session on “POSH & POCSO Act” for the faculty and students of Lady Irwin College on 09.10.2026.

The session was conducted by Adv. Vidya N., POSH Trainer, who served as the Resource Person and sensitized the participants about the provisions of the POSH Act and POCSO Act, focusing on the prevention of sexual harassment, child protection, and the importance of creating a safe environment.

Approximately 30–35 participants attended the session, which aimed to enhance awareness regarding legal safeguards, individual rights, and the mechanisms available for protection against sexual harassment and offences against children.

The participants were also informed about the NALSA Helpline No. 15100 (24x7) and DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24x7) for seeking free legal assistance and guidance.

New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (NDDLSA) under the aegis of NALSA & DSLSA organized a visit of Law Interns (17 Interns) at the One Stop Centre (SAKHI), Jamnagar House, New Delhi on 08.10.2026. During the visit, the law interns explored the One Stop Centre and were apprised of its functioning and the various support services provided to women affected by violence or distress.

The interns were accompanied and guided by Ms. Nandita Mishra, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC), who briefed them about the process of providing integrated assistance, including legal aid, counselling, medical assistance, police facilitation, and other necessary support services.

The visit provided the interns with practical exposure to the functioning of the One Stop Centre and enhanced their understanding of the role of support institutions in protecting the rights of women and facilitating their access to legal and other essential services.
