New Delhi District Legal Services Authority, under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), conducted a Door-to-Door Awareness Campaign on 15.05.2026 at Ambedkar Basti, Ambedkar Park, near Hyatt Hotel, RK Puram, New Delhi, under various NALSA Schemes.

The campaign aimed to create awareness among the residents regarding the counselling services being provided by DLSA and the availability of free legal assistance. During the campaign, pamphlets containing information about counselling facilities, legal aid services, and welfare schemes were distributed among the public. Approximately 150 people were sensitized during the campaign.

The initiative was undertaken to make people aware of their legal rights, the importance of counselling and dispute resolution services, and the various facilities being provided by DLSA for the benefit of needy and marginalized sections of society.

During the campaign, the residents were also informed about the services of DLSA, NALSA Helpline No. 15100 and DSLSA Helpline No. 1516 (24x7), so that they may avail timely legal assistance and support whenever required.

New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority and Delhi State Legal Services Authority, conducted a Door-to-Door Awareness Campaign on 02.05.2026 at Saraswati Camp, RK Puram on the topic “Minimum Wages Act.”

The campaign aimed to sensitize workers and residents about their rights under the Minimum Wages Act, including entitlement to fair wages, legal protections, and available remedies in case of violations. During the campaign, approximately 140–150 people were made aware of their legal rights and the importance of ensuring fair and lawful wages.

The initiative encouraged participants to seek timely legal assistance and empowered them with knowledge to safeguard their rights.

During the campaign, people were also informed about the services of DLSA, along with NALSA Helpline 15100 and DSLSA Helpline 1516 (24x7), and pamphlets were distributed to enhance awareness and outreach in the community.

New Delhi DLSA under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority and Delhi State Legal Services Authority conducted an Awareness Session on 01.05.2026 at Sarojini Nagar Construction Sites on the topic “Labour Laws.”

The session was conducted by Resource Person Adv. Bhupender Tomar, who sensitized approximately 30 attendees about their rights under various labour laws, including minimum wages, working conditions, legal protections, and welfare schemes available for workers.

The interactive discussion helped participants understand the legal remedies available to them and encouraged them to seek timely legal assistance.

New Delhi DLSA under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority and Delhi State Legal Services Authority conducted a Door-to-Door Awareness Campaign on 25.04.2026 at Village Munirka under various NALSA schemes.

The campaign focused on spreading awareness regarding the availability of LSUM Unit and Free Legal Aid & Advice. People were informed that the LSUM Unit facilitates access to legal support services, while free legal aid ensures that eligible persons receive legal representation, consultation, and assistance without any cost.

During the campaign, approximately 180 people were sensitized about their legal rights, available legal remedies, and the importance of accessing free legal services.

The initiative aimed to encourage the community to seek timely legal assistance and to ensure access to justice for all.

New Delhi District Legal Services Authority (New Delhi DLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority and Delhi State Legal Services Authority, conducted a Door-to-Door Awareness Campaign on 24.04.2026 at Village Sagarpur under various NALSA schemes.

The campaign aimed to spread awareness among the community regarding the upcoming National Lok Adalat to be held on 09.05.2026, Child Marriage Prohibition under ASHA Unit, and other legal services. During the campaign, around 150 people were sensitized.

During the campaign, people were also informed about the process of Lok Adalat, wherein cases are settled through mutual consent, such as bank loan disputes, electricity and water bill disputes, motor accident claims, family disputes, and labour-related matters. It was highlighted that Lok Adalat provides a speedy, simple, and cost-effective resolution, and its decisions are final and binding on the parties.

The initiative aimed to inform people about their rights, available legal remedies, and helpline services, and to encourage them to seek timely legal assistance.

New Delhi, District Legal Services Authority under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority & Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized visit of 18 psychology students from Belgium for a comprehensive exposure to the Indian legal system. The visit began at Delhi State Legal Services Authority, where they were introduced to the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, the functioning of DSLSA, and key initiatives like the Victims’ Compensation Scheme. The session also included an interactive discussion with officials, giving students a broader understanding of access to justice in India. They further visited the Permanent Lok Adalat to observe alternative dispute resolution in practice.

Thereafter, New Delhi, District Legal Services Authority organized the visit of the students at Patiala House Courts Complex. Ld. Secretary of New Delhi, DLSA personally lead the visit of the students under which they explored various units including the Front Office, LADC Office, Vulnerable Witness Deposition Complex, Lock Up and Special Fast Track Court to gain a ground-level perspective of legal aid mechanisms.

The visit concluded with an engaging interaction with the Chief LADC & Psychological Counsellor of New Delhi, DLSA, where discussions revolved around the role of counselling within the legal system, responsibilities of a counsellor, and the approaches and methods used while working with diverse cases. A meaningful exchange that bridged psychology and law, offering global perspectives through real-world exposure.

New Delhi, District Legal Services Authority under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority organized a visit of 25 Fellow Doctors, who have registered with the Indian Board of Forensic Odontology (IBFO), which provides training to dental professionals in forensic odontology through a structured fellowship program integrating both theoretical and practical aspects of medico legal investigations and their role in the substantiate justice delivery system, on 24.04.2026 at Patiala House Courts Complex.

To facilitate effective learning and to enhance understanding of courtroom procedures and to bridge the gap between forensic practice and its application in the justice system while fostering professionalism, the Doctor were assigned with three Criminal Courts. Ld Judicial Officers of the Courts personally sensitized them about the legal protocols and terminologies, as and when they will handle criminal cases.

Furthermore, following the visit, an interactive session was held with Ld. Secretary, New Delhi, DLSA, during which the Secretary personally brief them all about the services provided by New Delhi, District Legal Services Authority. Finally, the visit concluded after a question-answer session.

Ld. Secretary conducted visited the Observation Home for Boys, Delhi Gate on 23.04.2026.

To begin with, a session was organized during which Ms. Janvi Doshi, Psychological Counsellor delivered a substantive address and sensitized the young children to the dangers associated with substance abuse., who educated the young children about the dangers of drug abuse. The counsellor explained in detail how substance abuse severely affects mental health, leading to long-term psychological damage, anxiety and depression.

The children actively participated by asking questions and sharing their doubts, making the session interactive and engaging.

Following this, the Ld. Secretary personally interacted with all the children . He spoke to them with warmth and encouragement, guiding them towards a better future.
The Secretary motivated the boys to stay away from drugs and harmful addictions. He emphasized the importance of education, self-discipline, and making positive life choices. He inspired them to transform their lives and become responsible, good human beings who can contribute meaningfully to society.

The Ld. Secretary visited the One Stop Centre (SAKHI) located at Jam Nagar House. A detailed interaction was held with the Administrative Officer and Officials of the One Stop Centre. Various operational points were discussed including the integrated support services provided to women affected by violence, such as psychological counseling and legal guidance etc. The Ld. Secretary emphasized the strong linkage between One Stop Centers and DLSA for providing Free Legal Aid and facilitating Victim Compensation in cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other eligible categories.

The Officer-in-Charge of the One Stop Centreexplained the Ld. Secretary about the centre’s day-to-day functioning, number of cases handled and challenges faced in outreach.

The Ld. Secretary appreciated the dedicated efforts of the SAKHI team and suggested measures to ensure seamless legal support from New Delhi, District Legal Services Authority (NDDLSA).

Ld. Secretary Visited the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Office located at Jam Nagar House on 18.04.2026. The visit aimed to strengthen coordination between DLSA and various stakeholder involved in child protection and women’s support services, and to promote awareness of legal aid mechanisms, available for vulnerable sections of society.

During visit, the meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the Secretary, Women & Child Development (WCD), New Delhi, which was also attended by the District Magistrate (DM), District Child protection Unit (DCPU), Superintendent of child care Institutions and several Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) actively working in the field of child rights and protection. During the meeting, the undersigned delivered a detailed briefing on the services provided by the District Legal Services Authority duly included child-related services, including free legal aid to children in need of care and protection, children in conflict with law, and victim of abuse an Aadhar Registration Camp was also organized for the children, brought by various child institutions. During aadhar registration, a total of 35people approached the AadharRegistration Desk and 16 Aadhar Cards were registered/updated.

New Delhi DLSA under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority and Delhi State Legal Services Authority carried out an awareness session on 16.04.2026 at Sarvodaya Coed Vidyalaya, Sector-2, RK Puram, New Delhi for school-going children on the topic “Fundamental Rights & Duties.” The session was conducted by Resource Person Adv. Mr. Manish Sharma, along with PLV Vimal, who sensitized 45–50 attendees about fundamental rights, duties of citizens, and the importance of constitutional values in daily life.

The interactive session encouraged students to be aware of their rights and responsibilities and to contribute towards building a just and informed society. They were also informed about NALSA Helpline 15100 (24x7) and DSLSA Helpline 1516 (24x7) for seeking legal assistance.
