I just sit quietly, observe everything, remember every word, and wait for the right moment. I’m not the person who reacts after every line you throw at me 👩‍💼😊

Child custody is one of the most sensitive parts of litigation.

What hurts the most is that sometimes the person who is not even at fault still ends up suffering the consequences. And in between the fight between two adults, people often forget the little soul silently living through it all.

A child is forced to visit courts in the name of visitation rights.
Forced to meet a parent while carrying confusion, fear, pressure, and emotions they are too young to even express.

While parents keep fighting to win the case, the child keeps losing pieces of their peace.

And honestly, no one talks enough about what happens when the parent living with the child is mentally exhausted because of continuous court battles, stress, travelling, and emotional breakdowns. That stress reaches the child too. Children absorb everything.

A child cannot be divided into two.
At some point, one parent may have to accept a difficult truth that the child may genuinely feel happier, safer, calmer, and emotionally healthier with the other parent.

And choosing the child’s peace over your ego is not losing.
Sometimes, that is the purest form of love a parent can give.

Because custody should never be about “who won.”
It should always be about protecting the child emotionally, mentally, and lovingly.
