In an important judgement, Manual vs State of Kerela, Kerela High Court held that an Admin Of WhatsApp group can not be held vicariously liable for objectionable post by group member. Further, as held previously by Delhi and Bombay High Courts that an admin only has control over addition and deletion of member of groups and does not have any physical control over them, Kerela High Court held that admin also do not possess power to censor the material shared by group member, thus can not be held liable.

Apex Court on Monday set aside a bail order of Jharkhand High Court in a POCSO case, stating that a 'love affair' between the accused and prosecutrix and accused's subsequent refusal to marry are irrelevant grounds. The High court of Jharkhand had allowed the bail to accused on the grounds of alleged love affair between the parties of the case. However, the Supreme Court held that bearing the age of the accused (20) and the victim (13), the consent of the victim can not be presumed merely on grounds of the said love affair.

Even though the child sexual laws are meant and desired to be read strictly due to obvious reasons, interestingly though we are living in a society where relationships of sexual nature are made out well before the age of majority.
