Last year, Dhir & Dhir Associates organised the first of its kind “Virtual Legal Marathon on ESG – A 24 hour Live Research Lab” where more than 450 aspiring law students registered from around 94 law colleges & universities and generated insightful research papers. This initiative was also registered as a UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) Event for World Environment Day Celebrations 2021.

Fact of the day:

The Constitution of India, which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, came into effect on January 26, 1950. This completed India's movement towards becoming an independent republic with a democratic government system.

January 26 was also selected as the day to mark Republic Day because it had been on this day that the Indian National Congress (INC) proclaimed the Declaration of Indian Independence in 1929. This was opposite to the 'dominion' status offered by the British.

Recently, the Kerala high court held that a summons over WhatsApp was not an accepted mode of serving a summons.
