நான் முன்பே தெரிந்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்று நினைக்கும் விஷயங்கள்:
முதல் சின்ன puncture-ஐ சரியாக சரி பண்ணிருக்கணும்… இல்லையென்றால் அடுத்தடுத்து இன்னொரு puncture-க்கு ரெடி!

வாழ்க்கை தானே இது, கற்றுக்கொண்டே போகணும்!

Things I wish I knew earlier: like fixing the first little auto puncture properly so I wouldn’t end up with another one down the road! Live and learn, right?

“நம் எல்லாருக்கும் பொதுவான போக்குவரத்து விதிகள் தெரியும். ஆனால் இதில் நம்மை போன்ற ஆட்டோ டிரைவர்களுக்கே தனியாக வரும் ஒரு சிக்கல் என்னவென்றால், வணிக வளாகங்களாக இருக்கட்டும், வேறு சில இடங்களாக இருக்கட்டும், எங்கும் நிறுத்தக்கூடாது. அப்படியென்றால் நாம் என்ன தான் செய்யவேண்டும்?

நாம் அனைவரும் சேர்ந்து ஒரு தீர்வு கண்டுபிடிக்கலாம் உங்க யோசனைகளை பகிருங்கள்!”

ஆட்டோ ஓட்டும் பெண்களுக்கு, குறிப்பாக மாதவிடாய் காலங்களில், இது ஒரு சவாலான பணி. பெண்களின் தேவைகளுக்கென ஒரு பிரத்யேக இடம் போன்ற கூடுதல் ஆதரவு, பெரும் உதவியாக இருக்கும். அதுவரை, நாங்கள் எங்கள் பலம் மற்றும் நேர்த்தியுடன் தொடர்ந்து பயணிப்போம்” 

Driving an auto as a woman is its own challenge, especially on our periods. A little extra support, like a dedicated space for women’s needs, would go a long way. Until then, we keep rolling with strength and grace.

நான் என் கணவனை இழந்தபோது என்ன செய்வது என்று தெரியாமல் திகைத்தேன், ஆனால் என் தன்னம்பிக்கையை மீட்டெடுத்து ஒரு ஆட்டோ ஓட்டத் தொடங்கினேன். இப்போது என்னிடம் ஒரு காரும், ஒரு ஆட்டோவும் உள்ளது, நான் என் வாழ்க்கையை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வாழ்கிறேன். அனைத்துப் பெண்களுக்கும் என் செய்தி: வீட்டிலேயே முடங்கித் திரண்டு விடாதீர்கள். வெளியே வந்து தைரியமாக வாழுங்கள்.”

I lost my husband and didn’t know what to do next, but I picked myself up and started driving an auto. Now I have both a car and an auto and I’m living my life happily. To all the women out there: don’t just stay at home and shrink away. Step out and live boldly

நம்மைப் போற்றும் குழந்தைகள் முதல் பாதுகாப்பாக உணரும் பெண்கள் வரை ஒவ்வொரு சவாரியும் ஒரு புதிய கதையைத் தருகிறது, அதுதான் நம்மைத் தொடர வைக்கிறது.

From kids who admire us to women who feel safer seeing one of their own behind the wheel, every ride brings a new story. And that’s exactly what keeps us going.
