In the case of castration of Sadhus registered against Gurmeet Ram Rahim and two Doctors, the cross examination was conducted of Hans Raj the prime witness and Complainant was partially on 5th,6th and 7th March. Team member of LFHRI S.Navdeep Singh Advocate was present in the Indian consulate New York U S A to ensure that the witness is not threatened and is able to depose in a fear free environment .The remaining evidence will be recorded on 17th and 18th April.

Though acquitted in two murder cases, Gurmit Ram Rahim still faces conviction in two r**e cases and the case of imitating of Guru Gobind Singh jee and thereby hurting the religious sentiments of Sikh community is still pending for decision in Honble High Court. Navkiran Singh Advocate

CBI COURT PANCHKULA TO HOLD SPECIAL COURT ON 5TH MARCH 2026 TO RECORD CROSS EXAMINATION OF HANS RAJ THE PRIME WITNESS FROM U.S.A THROUGH VIDEO CONFERENCE IN CASTRATION CASE BEING FACED BY GURMIT RAM RAHIM AND TWO DOCTORS..........................Hans Raj had filed CWP NO 133395 of 2012 to Honble High Court in which "Lawyers For Human Rights International" our Org was also an intervenor and CBI charge sheeted Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim and two Doctors are also facing trial at CBI court Panchkula. The Petitioner Hans Raj who is also a castrated Sadhu is one of the main witnesses who after his examination in chief in 2018 could not be cross examined due to a stay being obtained by the accused from High court on technical grounds. In the year 2024 Hans Raj went to U.S.A and sought asylum due to his facing risk to his life at the hands of Gurmit Ram Rahim and his followers. Now in 2025 when he had to be cross examined he contacted us and Navkiran Singh Advocate moved on his behalf to the CBI court Panchkula and sought orders from the Honble court to be cross examined through video conference as he faces threat to his life on visiting India. The CBI court Panchkula, Haryana, India permitted his cross examination through video conference vide order dated 7-1-2026 and also allowed our counsel to accompany Hans Raj to be accompanied by his counsel to Indian Consulate General New York and vide order dated 29-1-2026 the court has fixed the date and time for cross examination to be held from 5th March to 7th March 2026 and the CBI court will hold a special sitting at Panchkula court between 4.30 P.M and 8.30 P.M. Condemn False encounters.

The family of Ranjit Singh the young boy claims that he was killed in a false encounter. If Ranjit Singh was involved with criminal forces across the border and played a role in killing 2 Punjab police men in Gurdaspur, he should have been dealt in accordance with law and given the severest punishment provided under Indian law, but snuffing a young life in False encounter will further breed resentment in society and will be counter productive.
