Partnership Act provides that an unregistered partnership and a partner who's name is not entered into the register of firms as a partner cannot sue third parties on the basis of a contract, however, a suit for dissolution and rendition of accounts can be maintained. Further this bar not only limits itself to proceedings pending before the courts but also to other proceedings such as arbitration, winding up etc
