Once your U.S. visa is approved, here is the step-by-step process until your passport is delivered to you:
1. Visa Approved – Next Steps Begin
After the interview, once your status shows “Approved,” your passport moves into post-processing for visa printing and dispatch.
2. Processing Time: 7–10 Business Days
During this period, your passport goes through:
• Visa printing
• Quality checks
• Preparation for handover to the courier
The typical timeline for this stage is 7–10 business days.
3. Courier Dispatch and Delivery
After processing, your passport is handed over to the authorized courier.
You will receive an SMS or email notification once it is ready for dispatch or pickup.
4. Courier Charges: ₹1200 Payable on Delivery
A courier fee of ₹1200 must be paid directly at the time of delivery.
This amount is not prepaid and must be settled with the courier personnel.
5. Passport Collected
Once the passport reaches you:
