Under the auspices of the Department of Justice's Nyaya Bandhu Scheme, on the 20th day of September, in the year 2023, the Pro Bono Club of Presidency University, School of Law, had the honor of hosting the 'LEX SCRIPTUM' Drafting Competition, 2023. This distinguished event served as a commendable showcase of the exceptional drafting acumen displayed by the aspiring legal minds hailing from the esteemed School of Law at Presidency University. The occasion bore witness to a remarkable exhibition of talent, persuasive prowess, and profound legal erudition.
The students of the School of Law exhibited remarkable adaptability and responsiveness throughout the competition, thus underscoring the paramount importance of drafting skills in the professional journey of a legal practitioner. The competition attracted a total of 150 participants, and the students from the School of Law exhibited a dynamic and unwavering commitment to the contest.
This prestigious competition stands as an unequivocal triumph, bringing into sharp focus the pivotal role played by Drafting and Policymaking skills in the vocation of a lawyer. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Respected Dean of the School of Law, Dr. Sandeep S. Desai, as well as the Faculty Convenors and other esteemed faculty members, for their invaluable guidance and unwavering support.
