Vivaan Foundation, through its Litigation partner Sahil Trivedi held a mediation and counciling session for a couple tangled in matrimonial disputes. Vivaan had been representing Mrs. Kiran Thakore (in the picture) before the Ld. Judicial Magistrate First Class and the Ld. Family Judge in these disputes. The session was a success and the couple has resolved their differences and agreed to cohabit in a matrimonial relationship again. A 'samadhan karar and pursis' will be submitted to the aforementioned Courts and the cases will be withdrawn.

Vivaan Work Updates

Advocate Sahil Trivedi on 7/12 appeared for Vivaan Foundation and argued before the Ld. Metropolitan Magistrates Court at Ahmedabad for the matter pertaining to Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act. . . After hearing Advocate Trivedi at a length the Court condemned the unreasonable delay in the disposal of the matter due to non appearance of the defendants and was pleased to issue a bailable warrant against the defendants. The matter has been kept for final hearing on 11/1/2016

The organisation has often been alleged of being a bunch of inexperienced Law practitioners and learners. We have been alleged to be a Utopian thought which might be solid from the outside, but vacuum from the inside.

With an intent to silence our critics, Vivaan has incorporated an 'Advisory Council' which shall consist of eminent Lawyers and eminent Social and political entities who'll help the young change makers in their difficult boulevards.

Vivaan Work Updates ! ! !

Advocate Sahil Trivedi today argued Vivaan's Pro Bono case of domestic violence for two domestic maids at the Metropolitan Magistrates Court, Ahmedabad.
The earlier Advocate appointed by the poor ladies took a decent amount of money from them only to not appear in any of the hearings. This led to an undue delay of 8 months which otherwise would not have occurred under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
The Ld. Magistrate was pleased to issue summons to the defendant based on an amended prayer drafted by Aanchal Kesari of team Non litigation to be returnable on 27/10.
