I was inducted as a faculty member for ODOP sessions in the year 2020 .
Almost 5 years have gone by but it feels like only yesterday .
The joy of training students is unmatched.
Always a great feeling to meet students and help them in their CS journey .

I am grateful to ICSI, Ahmedabad chapter for reposing faith in me .

After almost 2.5 years of being in practice , I have come to a realisation that ,
“NOT ALL CLIENTS ARE SAME.”

Some clients are really DIFFICULT .
- They want the work to be delivered instantly .
- They are money-minded . They bargain a lot and eventually pay you very less .
- They have no value for the work you bring on table .
- They are non-cooperative
- They play the blame-game.

On the other hand , some clients are really GOOD .
- They always respect you and give you enough time to complete your work.
- They pay you what you deserve .
- They are cooperative .
- They communicate their concerns instead of blaming .

RESPECT IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.
If mutual respect is missing between a business owner and a client , the relationship won’t last long.

The lesson being we should never be disappointed if a difficult client leaves .
The client was anyway a hindrance to our mental peace .
Instead , we should work upon attracting the good clients in order to grow .

It was indeed a privilege to be invited as a special guest to the “Run like HeR” marathon organised by JollyHires on Women’s day .
Loved the energy and enthusiasm of talented women HRs of Ahmedabad!!

I believe, a woman is complete in herself .
She is Bold , Beautiful, Compassionate, Kind , Fierce and everything she desires to be !
Let’s celebrate ourselves every single day !

Recently, I happened to meet one of my friend. We were having a casual discussion about mobile phones when she said “My phone is outdated now , I need to change .”

(She purchased the latest version of her phone a year ago)

I replied ,” What is the need to change? Your phone is already having all the features you need .”
But she was adamant .

I wondered , we spend so much money for purchasing the latest version of phone but when it comes to knowledge we aren’t interested in updating ourselves .

The amount of information available to us is overwhelming . Moreover , it’s free of cost .
But , what are we doing to expand our horizons of knowledge ?

We are least interested in learning new things because that’s not cool for us .
Instead of showing off our mobile phones it would be great if we would show off our knowledge and earn ourselves a good position in the career we are pursuing .

Would like to know your thoughts on this .

I recently incorporated a LLP for a lady in her 50s and I was deeply inspired by her enthusiasm for her new venture .
She was keenly interested in every step of incorporation and she made sure that the legalities get completed as soon as possible.

I could feel the excitement in her voice when we received the Certification of Incorporation.
At the age of 54 , her only desire was to start the production and see her new venture flourish .

I have massive respect for people who do not let age define their dreams .

Somehow , we tend to believe that dreams can be achieved only in our 20s or 30s. We think that life has meaning only if we are successful at an early age .
We fail to understand that we evolve with each passing year and dreams can be achieved as long as there is burning desire in heart . Age should never be a defining factor .

We have got this one life ,
Let’s dream ,
Let’s fly ,
Let’s fail ,
Let’s learn,
And most importantly , let’s enjoy every single day of being human.

Sitting in the balcony of my house , I wondered “What is the definition of passion” or
“How to find your passion”

From what I have understood :

1. Passion is to love what you are doing.
Time just flies when you are working on something you are passionate about.

2.Passion and boredom never go hand in hand.
You might feel the need to take a break but your heart wants to pursue your passion always .

3. Passion is looking forward to every single day at work.You are excited to take up new challenges and give your best .

The question being ,
How to find one’s passion?

It is great if you have clarity regarding your passion from an early age .
But what about those who are still struggling to find their passion?

1. Explore as much as you can. It will broaden your perspective .

2. Acquire new skills and be enthusiastic about every opportunity coming your way .

3. Never restrict yourself to only certain areas.
Be open minded and give your 100% to every role you perform .

Over a time , you will find what your heart resonates with .
You will find peace in the work you do .
You will look forward to each day with lot of enthusiasm .

Price shouldn’t be the only criteria when you are deciding to work with a practicing professional.

Very often , prospective clients just compare five different quotations and select the one that’s the cheapest .
Well, I am not against it .
It’s the client’s choice , Completely .

But since it’s a Service Industry , following significant points should also be considered by a prospective client :

1. Analyse the commitment towards work (can be gauged by how the practicing professional is responding to the inquiry )

2. Initiate a conversation with the practicing professional and try to understand their approach towards work.

3. Inquire about the time frame within which the practicing professional can complete the work.

4. Most importantly, check if the practicing professional has thorough knowledge of laws and rules (during conversation the prospective client can get a basic understanding about it )

5. Do not forget to check their website or google business page and go through their reviews to know if the professional is authentic.

How long will you stay in the “No Profit No loss zone ?”

“You better opt for a part time job to support your expenses.”

“You are meant for a 9-5 job , leave all this .”

“Look at how much others are earning , your dreams will remain dreams.”

During your entrepreneurial journey , you will receive a lot of unsolicited advise .

Nobody, I repeat nobody has the audacity to comment on your dream and vision.
As long as you are working hard to achieve it , what people say shouldn’t matter .

SO, KEEP HUSTLING, HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF AND RISE ABOVE ALL THE NEGATIVITY.
BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN TO SHINE ✨

Very often, we chase PERFECTION but fail to understand the significance of CONSISTENCY.

Our idea of being productive is working 8-10 hours and if on some day we are unable to devote that much time , we start feeling guilty .

Well, I believe showing up matters.

As long as you are devoted to your purpose it is completely alright to not be very productive on some days .

Sit with yourself , identify your work pattern and make an effort to overcome your weaknesses .
Set goals , maintain discipline and keep working hard .

Always remember,
“YOU ARE ENOUGH.”
