What to do if a Cheque Bounces (Section 138 NI Act)?
1️⃣ Send a Legal Notice – Within 30 days of cheque dishonour, the payee must send a legal notice to the drawer of the cheque.
2️⃣ Wait for 15 Days – The drawer has 15 days to make the payment.
3️⃣ File a Complaint – If no payment is made, a criminal complaint can be filed in the court under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
