Important Update for Migrant Caregivers in Israel

The Israeli Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA) has extended the non-enforcement policy ONLY for migrant caregivers who applied for humanitarian ("special") status and were rejected between October 7, 2023 and April 30, 2025.

🚫 If your application is rejected after April 30, 2025, the non-enforcement policy will not apply.

✅ If your application was rejected between October 7, 2023 and April 30, 2025, you are not at risk of deportation, as long as you are still working with your employer, and you had been in Israel less than 13 years when you applied.

📜 A new temporary law is being prepared by the Israeli government. It will explain what will employers need to do in order to apply for a visa for you.

⏳ Until that new law is ready, the non-enforcement policy remains in effect.
