Niall Tansey, Partner, interviewed by Irish Independent following Galway Coroner’s Inquest

Damien Tansey Solicitors LLP has acted for the family of the late Margaret (Margo) Regan who died at Galway University Hospital on 6 August 2023 aged 74 years.

Mrs Regan, who was married with four adult children, attended the hospital’s A&E Department on 5 August 2023 suffering from an abdominal infection and sepsis. However, there was a delay in administering critical antibiotics. Sadly, Mrs Regan’s condition deteriorated further and she died in the early hours of the next morning.

At the recent Coroner’s Inquest held in Galway, Coroner Ciaran MacLoughlin returned a verdict of Medical Misadventure in relation to the death.
