As part of “Alzheimers Awareness” Initiative Geraldine Conaghan will be providing talks locally that address “The Role of Enduring Powers of Attorney" and the proposed new laws on 'Assisted Decision making” for those impaired.

EPA’s are a legal device that allow you to put in place arrangements for others to deal with your affairs if you become incapable. She will also talk of the changes proposed by the Government in the new “assisted decision making legislation”. The Nursing Home Support Scheme will be addressed.

There will be a question and answer session with a facility that questions can be submitted in writing in advance by putting questions in sealed envelopes and the issues raised dealt with as part of the presentation ensuring the confidentiality of the parties.

These talks will be offered in Serenity House, Moville and Trinity Court Newtowncunningham and to BURT Women's Group.
