New year 2021

Just a short note to all our clients, friends, and suppliers to say that I hope you had a peaceful and calm Christmas and got your well-earned rest over the break. I wish all our clients, suppliers, and friends a happy New Year for 2021.

Just to short note to say we are open for business in 2021 but we are working behind closed doors. Reception is manned by our receptionist Claire Joy. I am working from home as with Orla Howe, Mary Hayes and Bridie O'Connell. As before we can be contacted by email as follows [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected]. Our phone is constantly answered and we are happy to deal with all clients by phone, zoom or whatsapp, whichever suits.

This looks like another challenging time and the key for everyone is to stay safe. That is why we would ask clients to knock on our door if you wish to call and stand a distance back and we will come out to you to discuss whatever issue you have. We are here for you and wish you a peaceful and happy New Year for 2021. Please support local businesses in Killorglin as best you can and hopefully we can all get back to normal soon.

Regards. Colm Kelly

So we are back open again. I had a great meeting with staff today going through the new arrangements in the office as we move into Phase 2. I suppose the big message from our meeting today was that (a) We don't want our office to be the source of Covid 19 (b) We don't want any of our staff to get it (c) We don't want any of our clients or suppliers to get it. I have put together a short note (as a blog on our site) of how we will work in the coming months. Essentially we are open but if possible we would still like clients to deal with us remotely as much as possible. If calling to the office, please knock and we will let you in. We will ask you to hand sanitise when calling and leaving. Keep meetings short and keep social distance. I know that this goes against the grain for us as Irish and also for our office generally, as the banter is much a part of the job as the business. Also we want you to bring your own pens! But don't worry, I have ordered a batch of special pens from the Brand Geeks to keep you going in case you forget! I have put together a fully document risk assessment for the office in line with the Governments back to work protocols. Essentially all staff are going to continue to work from home as much as possible. But its only natural that we will dip our toes into humanity over the next few months and so staff will attend our office from time to time. In addition to our great technology platform, we have introduced Microsft Teams in the office which makes for communication all the easier. The chat function is great on Teams and saves countless emails to and fro in the office for day to day work. Thanks to Mary, Bridie, Orla, Claire, Christine and Tommy for all their work in pulling together. We hope you don't see any drop in service and our main mission in implementing our new policies and plans is to keep everyone safe. I hope you are beginning to enjoy the easing of the restrictions and thanks for all the support. Colm

In line with Government guidelines, our office is now open again and I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff who rowed in and helped to keep the show on the road during the lockdown.

Hello. I am just writing a short post about our office Healy Crowley Ahern solicitors Killorglin and Caherciveen. We are very much open for business during this difficult time and wish to assure all our clients that work is being progressed with maximum efficiency. We have always prided ourselves on IT and that is why for the last number of years all members of staff could log in and work from home through our secure Virtual Private Network and this is really paying off now. We are making arrangements for staff to work from home in line with the Government guidelines. We will have a staff member in our office in Killorglin and Caherciveen and phones will be answered, but we are going to limit face to face meetings as much as possible. We are happy to have meetings by video on Whatasapp or through Zoom or Skype. Whatever suits you. Phones will be diverted to my mobile for out of office coverage. As a good number of our clients are in the elderly bracket, my thoughts are with all of them. There is nothing more that I love than meeting those groups of clients face to face and hearing their stories and concerns. We can still do that now online, but if you feel more comfortable with phone, that works for me. I will be asking clients to sign forms at home and dealing a lot more by post rather than calling to the office for that stuff. I will really miss the face to face contact over the next while but I'm sure that we will all adjust. The Irish have great resilience and flexibility. Please stay safe, rely on your loved ones and those close to you, heed the warnings and have a PMA (positive mental attitude!!). Cheers. Colm Kelly.
