€81,098.72!! 💛🎗️

What an absolutely unbelievable achievement by everyone involved with Killanne to Crumlin.

We were so proud to come on board as one of the sponsors of this fundraiser for Oscar’s Kids Ireland, a charity very close to our hearts — but we genuinely cannot get over this final total.

A massive congratulations to everyone at Killanne Vintage Club who put an extraordinary amount of work into making this happen, and to every driver, volunteer, sponsor, local business and person who donated, bought a raffle ticket or came along over the weekend.

Over €81,000 for Oscar's Kids Ireland. That money will make a real difference to children with cancer and their families when they need it most.

An incredible community effort and something everyone involved should be enormously proud of. 👏💛

We were privileged to play a small part.

Every director under pressure faces the same question: keep trading, or stop? Get it wrong and 'reckless trading' can turn the company's debts into your personal liability - and you don't need to have intended any harm for a court to find it. Swipe for where the line sits and how to stay on the right side of it.

The end of a business partnership can be as messy as any divorce - and just as costly if handled badly. Whether it's a clean buy-out or a full-blown dispute, your options are shaped first by the paperwork and then by how early you take advice. Swipe for the routes out, from agreement to the courtroom.

Our client was a general operative on a construction site. In January 2020 he was manually moving kerbing alongside a drainage channel when a mechanical digger, operated by a fellow worker, struck and crushed his left hand against a concrete kerb.

The injuries were severe — open fractures, tendon and muscle lacerations, and penetrating trauma. He underwent three separate surgeries in the space of nine weeks, followed by an extensive course of physiotherapy. Medical assessment confirmed permanent deformity, ongoing weakness, hypersensitivity and scarring, with no full recovery expected.

He was also a decorated sportsperson who had turned professional. The injury ended that career.

What made this case unusual was its complexity. Responsibility was disputed between the employer, the main site contractor and related and engineering companies.

The case settled on 30 July 2026 for €150,000.

Great work by the whole team.

In contentious business, a solicitor may not calculate fees or other charges as a percentage or proportion of any award or settlement.

The debt warehousing scheme gave businesses breathing room - but that window has closed, and parked liabilities are now in phased payment arrangements Revenue expects to be honoured. Miss the agreed payments and the flexibility can disappear fast. For directors, persistent tax arrears are also one of the earliest signs of insolvency. Swipe for what to watch.

Public law has a quiet but powerful principle: if the State leads you to expect something - through a promise, a policy or a settled practice - it can't always simply change its mind. It's called legitimate expectation, and it's one of the grounds that can support a judicial review. Swipe for what it means and when it bites.

A refusal letter can feel final - but 'refused' and 'unchallengeable' are not the same thing. Where an immigration decision was made unfairly, irrationally, or by ignoring relevant facts, judicial review may be open. The catch: the deadlines are short. Swipe to understand when JR applies and why timing is everything.

'We'll trade our way out of it' is one of the most common - and most dangerous - assumptions a director can make. Sometimes a company genuinely recovers. But every week of insolvent trading can deepen personal exposure, and once insolvency looms a director's duties shift to creditors. Swipe for an honest look.
