If you have applied to the HSE for an Assessment of Need (AON), it must begin within three months of receiving your application and be completed within three months of starting. However, recent HSE data, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, reveals that over 11,000 children with disabilities are still awaiting their assessments. This delay can have serious consequences for children who require support and services.
