What is the time limit for starting an Injury Case? ⏰
Statute of Limitations for Personal Injury Claims under Irish Law...
If you are making a personal injury claim in Ireland, you have only two years from the date of your accident to lodge a claim. After the two-year period expires, you will become statute-barred. This means that you are no longer entitled to bring a claim for compensation arising out of your accident – essentially, you have run out of time.
However, there are some exceptions to the rule.

✅ This time limit differs for minors/children under the age of 18.
✅ If the injured person was mentally incapacitated at the time of the accident, the time limit starts to run from the date they regain capacity.
✅ If the person who was injured was unaware of the injury or its cause due to the negligence of the person who caused the injury, the time limit starts to run from the date that the person became aware of the injury or its cause.

"How much is my claim worth?" The #1 question we get asked. ❓

Valuing a personal injury claim isn't about guesswork - it’s about evidence, and every case is different. However, no matter how minor or catastrophic your injury may be, claims are generally split into two categories:

✅ General Damages figures are determined by the severity of your injury, the physical pain and suffering it causes, and how it affects your recovery time and future.
✅ Special Damages are your "out-of-pocket" expenses, for example, medical bills, travel costs, loss of earnings, and, in some cases, the costs of future care.

Your settlement figure should reflect the real impact on your life. Our goal is to gather all evidence to ensure your compensation fully covers your past, present, and future care.
Have you suffered an injury due to no fault of your own, and have a question about a potential personal injury claim? Reach out to our team today for a consultation. ⚖️

E-Scooter Laws in Ireland. What you need to know. Are You Protected? 🛴

Irish laws now govern all e-scooters and e-bikes on our roads. Knowing the difference between a "PPT" and an "MPV" could be the difference between receiving compensation and being left out of pocket if you’ve been injured in an accident. The legal landscape is shifting. A recent court ruling suggests that even some e-bikes now require insurance. Understand your rights in this new "micro-mobility" era.
Did you know:
✅ E-scooters are now legal but strictly banned from footpaths.
❌ The MIBI generally does NOT cover accidents where an e-scooter rider is at fault.
⚠️ If your e-scooter exceeds 25km/h, you may legally require insurance.

If you’ve been involved in a collision—whether as a rider, driver, or pedestrian—the legal landscape is complex. Don't navigate it alone.
