A fantastic settlement which we secured on behalf of a child who became paraplegic following scoliosis surgery at a hospital in Dublin.

We alleged that a pedicle screw was misplaced into her spinal cord due to inadequate pre-operative planning for this complex scoliosis surgery.

The HSE denied liability.

We secured a child injury compensation settlement of €9,400,000 for a very deserving young child who became paraplegic following spinal surgery.

We are very proud to have represented Willow Carroll and her mum, Tracy Carroll, in their case against the HSE for the failings in the neonatal care provided to Willow after her birth.

Willow developed a severe HIE injury in the hours following her birth, and we alleged that it could have been prevented.

Willow is the most deserving child, and we are so honored to call her our client.

Another HSE birth injury settlement for a child with Autism & ADHD. It is claimed that the Plaintiff's injuries arose due to medical negligence at the time of her birth. The HSE denied causation, however, an interim settlement was agreed upon. It is claimed that an expert doctor for the Plaintiff would have contended that there is no genetic explanation for her condition, had the case gone to hearing.

Court heard Aliyah Bowden’s autism and ADHD were allegedly attributable to care at Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise

The HSE has ordered an external review of the spinal surgery care provided by consultant paediatric surgeon at CHI Temple Street. 19 children who received spinal surgeries for conditions such as spina bifida and scoliosis had very poor surgical outcomes. One child sadly passed away following several surgeries.

The mother of a 14-year-old boy who requires urgent surgery for scoliosis has said her family are broken, distraught and angry after reports into concerns in orthopaedic surgery at Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.
