Two incredible charities…. Please support.

CARLOW LIONS CLUB CHARITY AUCTION

Carlow Lions Club is delighted to announce our upcoming Charity Auction, taking place on Thursday, 8 October 2026 at 7.30pm in the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow.

The auction will raise vital funds for two incredibly deserving charities:

💛 Éist Cancer Support Centre Carlow
💛 Childhood Cancer

We need the support of the entire Carlow community to make the night a success. We are appealing to local businesses and individuals who may be able to donate goods, services, experiences or vouchers for inclusion in the auction.

No contribution is too big or too small, every item donated will help us support the invaluable work of these two charities.

The response to our post about the future of Carlow Shopping Centre was absolutely phenomenal.
The comments, messages, suggestions, tags and shares came flooding in — and one thing became very clear:
People care deeply about this shopping centre and what it could become.
So, first and foremost…

Thank you for sharing your ideas, naming the brands you would love to see and telling us what would encourage you to shop, meet, eat and spend more time in the heart of the town.
We want you to know that we are listening.
Our ambition is to create a thoughtful blend of:

🛍️ Independent Carlow businesses, retailers and entrepreneurs
🥕 Local producers, makers, artists and creatives
🍴 Food, leisure and entertainment that bring energy and atmosphere throughout the day

THE NEXT BIG NAME BELONGS HERE. 👀

And so begins a very exciting new chapter for Carlow Shopping Centre.

We are absolutely delighted to have been appointed to lead the commercial leasing campaign for a centre that I genuinely believe is one of the most beautiful shopping centres in Ireland — and one with enormous potential.

Now it’s time to breathe new life into it.

Our ambition isn’t simply to fill vacant units. We want to build the right retail and leisure mix, introduce new names to Carlow, strengthen what is already here and create even more reasons for people to shop, meet, eat and spend time in the heart of the town.

And this is where Carlow gets a say…
