A huge well done to everyone who organised, sponsored and took part in the Great Wild Atlantic Marathon Walk. 👏

The walk from Courtmacsherry to South Ring and back, along the spectacular Seven Heads Peninsula, took in some of the most beautiful scenery West Cork has to offer.

It was lovely to meet so many friendly people along the way and to experience that wonderful community spirit that makes West Cork so special.

And, as we walked those beautiful coastal roads, it really struck us all over again just why so many people are proud to call West Cork home. ❤️

Why is my house purchase taking so long to complete?

That’s the topic of Majella’s latest property advice column in the Irish Examiner— and it’s a question many buyers will unfortunately recognise.

Going sale agreed is an exciting milestone, but it doesn’t always mean you’ll be getting the keys anytime soon.

Planning issues, retention permission, legal documentation, mortgage requirements and sellers waiting to complete on their own onward purchase can all cause unexpected delays.

For buyers, the experience can be incredibly frustrating, particularly when weeks turn into months and you’re left wondering what is happening.

But there’s also an important lesson for sellers: good preparation before putting your property on the market can help avoid many of these delays.

Having planning documentation, title information and other paperwork in order before you find a buyer can put your sale in a much stronger position and help the process move forward more smoothly.
