The Fuel Income Support Scheme for farmers is now open.

Under the scheme there will be one payment per applicant to cover a full five-month period rather than monthly payments. Applicants will be asked to supply their usage for the 12 months of 2025 based on receipted expenditure.

Good luck to Colin Mullahy who is a finalist in the Teagasc/ FBD Student of the Year Awards 2025 having completed his studies in Teagasc Ballina.

Colin, from Claremorris, Co. Mayo, balanced his studies alongside work, family, and farming commitments. He applied his learning to develop his farm, managing both suckler and calf-to-beef systems.
