The UK Home Office will begin rolling out its settlement scheme on 21st January 2019 to EU citizens living in the UK.This will be the biggest logistical exercise in its history when it starts to register 3.5 million EU citizens for ā€œsettled statusā€. Considering the Home Office tend to get things wrong! - we expect a few incorrect refusals along the way...

A refusal rate of 5% would leave 175,000 EU citizens with no right to continue living in the UK, a rate of one per cent would leave 35,000 without the status to which they are entitled.
