People say Bali always feels like a vacation.
Yeah… tell that to people with kids, work, and everyday responsibilities 😅

But the truth is a bit different.
Living here, you can create a mini escape – without complicated planning.

No flights.
No suitcases.
No «we planned this for six months.»

You hop on a bike, and an hour and a half later you’re already at a hotel.
Yes, with kids “resting” is a relative concept.
But the scenery changes, the pace shifts, and something inside resets.

Sometimes that’s all you need –
to breathe out and remember why you chose this life in the first place.

Visas and paperwork are part of this life too.
And that’s exactly what we help with 🌿

There’s one important rule you should know 👇🏻
The new visa period is always counted from the end date of your current visa.

It doesn’t matter if you apply:
– in advance
– on the last day
– or even after your visa has expired

📌 The start date of the new visa does not change.

✅ Example:
Your visa expires on the 15th 👇🏻

✔️ You apply on the 10th →
your new visa starts on the 16th.

✔️ You apply on the 17th →
you pay an overstay fine,
but your new visa still starts on the 16th, not the 17th.

👉 So applying early doesn’t make you lose any days – your dates stay the same.

If you’re unsure when it’s best to apply in your situation,
📩 message us at – we’ll advise you on the best timing and next steps.

Before making a decision, it’s worth honestly answering a few questions 👇🏻

1️⃣ Do you understand which visa you’ll be living on
– how long you’re allowed to stay
– whether it can be extended
– whether you need to leave the country

If this isn’t clear yet, that’s okay. The important thing is not to leave it for later.

2️⃣ Are you ready for the local pace of life
Everything moves more slowly here.
Ceremonies, traffic, rain that doesn’t follow the forecast – it’s all part of daily life.
If you know how to slow down and adapt, you’ll feel comfortable.

3️⃣ You don’t expect perfect order
Sidewalks may suddenly end,
roads can get narrow, and logic may differ from what you’re used to.

4️⃣ You understand that service works differently here
It can be very warm and genuine,
but not always fast or strictly “by the book.”

5️⃣ You’re comfortable living closer to nature
Geckos and humidity are part of the tropics,
but in return you get greenery all year round, fresh air,
and a feeling of life beyond concrete cities.

6️⃣ You know where and how you want to live
Bali is very diverse:
ocean, jungle, quiet or lively areas.
It’s important to choose a location that fits your lifestyle.

7️⃣ You have a stable source of income
Life in Bali can be affordable,
but peace of mind starts with understanding your budget.

8️⃣ You’re ready for the “hop on and go” lifestyle
There’s almost no public transport.
A scooter or a car becomes part of everyday life.

9️⃣ You understand that Bali is not just a holiday
People live, work, raise children, and build everyday life here – like in any other country –
while often enjoying life more than in big cities.

🔟 You give yourself time to adapt
The first weeks can feel exciting – or overwhelming.
That’s normal. Life here opens up gradually.

If you recognize yourself in most of these points,
you may truly be ready to stay in Bali longer 🌿

Not everyone arrives in Bali with a clear plan.
Sometimes you just want to live here for a while, explore the island, feel the vibe –
and only then decide what’s next.

If you’re not sure about your length of stay yet, the best way to start is a VOA or C1 👇🏻

✔️ great for getting to know the island
✔️ both visas can be extended
✔️ and most importantly – no need to decide everything upfront

❗️If later you decide to stay longer,
both VOA and C1 can be converted to a KITAS, without leaving Indonesia.

So you can:
arrive → explore → decide

People say a lot about Bali.
Sometimes it sounds too perfect.
Sometimes too scary.
As usual, the truth is somewhere in between 👇🏻

1️⃣ “Bali is only for vacations”
In reality, people live, work, raise children, and build businesses here.
The island has long become home to thousands of people from all over the world.

2️⃣ “It’s always paradise and relaxation”
The views – yes, they’re stunning.
But there’s real life too: ceremonies that block roads, narrow streets without sidewalks, almost no public transport – getting around without a bike is difficult.

3️⃣ “There’s nothing to do here with kids”
One of the most common myths.
Play spaces, schools, clubs, and activities – there’s plenty, just in a different format.

4️⃣ “Bali is only for young people”
Families and people over 50–60 live comfortably here as well.
The island is very diverse.

5️⃣ “Everyone lives by the ocean”
Many people choose Ubud, quieter areas, jungles, and rice fields.
The ocean is a bonus, not a must.

Bali is not a fairytale or an Instagram picture.
It’s a real, living island with its own pros and nuances.

And that’s exactly why people either don’t get it…
or fall in love with it for a long time 🌿
