In an official decree from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Number M. HH-02.GR.02.02 Year 2021, the Indonesian Authorities announced that effective immediately, international flights may enter Ngu Rah Rai – Bali Airport!!

Please note that the mandatory 8 days quarantine still applies.

* A color scan of your passport (photo page).
* Current bank statement, preferably a dollar account.
* Ticket to Indonesia
* Return ticket with a date not longer than 60 days from the date of arrival. If you want to stay longer, we suggest a local flight ticket to Singapore with the possibility of cancellation.
* Declaration of treatment at your own expense in the event of developing Covid-19 (download below)
* Declaration of consent to quarantine (download below)
* A statement that you will not be working in Indonesia. (download below)
* Vaccination Certificate (example below)
* Negative PCR test result with QR code and passport number
* Full payment of the required fee.
* Health insurance for the planned duration of your stay. 
* After obtaining the visa, you must arrive within 90 days of issue.
* You must go to an eight-day quarantine in Jakarta

Finally, the moment we have all been waiting for is here! In an announcement on 15th September 2021 by Ministry of Law and Human Rights (KEMENKUMHAM), it was officially announced that foreigners may now apply for visas to enter Indonesia starting from 15th September 2021!

Visa applications for foreigners outside of Indonesia have been closed since July, so this announcement will bring a great deal of relief for people desperate to get back to Indonesia.

Foreigners with valid visas may now also enter Indonesia again also!

From 22.07, the only visa entries are for people with diplomatic and service passports, approved health and humanitarian purposes and transportation crew members.
Last visitors are able to enter Indonesia till date: 23.07 time: 23.59

Late in the day on Wednesday 21st July, Indonesian Immigration authorities made the shock announcement that they would be restricting foreigners from entering Indonesian territories yet again.

As per usual, information isn’t complete, is announced with no prior warning, and tends to raise additional questions, but from what we can see, all foreign nationals are prohibited from entering Indonesia during the emergency lockdown (emergency PPKM). The travel prohibition to enter does not include:

1. Holders of Diplomatic & Official Visas

2. Holders of Diplomatic & Official Residence Permits

3. Holders of Temporary Stay Permits (ITAS) & Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP)

4. Those with Medical Purpose & Humanitarian Reasons approved by an official letter from competent authorities in handling Covid-19 outbreak

5. Active Crew Members who arrive by their transports

Please note, that unfortunately, those traveling with Single Entry Visas – B211 are currently not allowed to enter Indonesia.

Q&A

If I am traveling to Indonesia right now on a Single Entry Visa (B211) can I still enter Indonesia?

Yes, but the grace period is only until 23rd July.

How long will this last?

It says it will apply during the national lockdown. The original end date was the end of July, then a few days ago, they brought this forward to 25th July – pending the situation.
