//潮濕空氣讓人頭疼，衣服和家俱可能會損壞，還可能引發哮喘等健康問題。 這就是為何看到潮濕的跡象，最好盡快找到問題的根源，無論是缺乏空心牆﹑絕緣，還是有問題的洩漏。

英國室內condensation damp的情況比較普遍，當潮濕的空氣與牆壁和窗戶等冷表面接觸時，就會發生冷凝。 隨著溫度的降低，空氣中的水分含量會減少，並且會在表面形成小水滴。

如果家中的空氣有一定程度的濕度，尤其是正在煮食、洗澡及呼吸產生的水蒸氣，也會增加濕度。如果冷凝水長時間留在牆壁上，它會穿透油漆並進入石膏板，導致潮濕並繁殖一個黴菌可以快速生長的環境。//
