We are pleased to share the publication of the article “Greece: Reforming Civil Justice – Efficiency, Structural Change, and Legal Certainty” by Spyros Alexandris, Partner at Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners, in the March 2026 (13.2) issue of CEE Legal Matters.

The article examines the evolution of recent reforms of the Greek civil justice system, focusing on procedural modernization, judicial efficiency, digital transformation, and the structural reorganization of the civil courts. We are pleased to announce an Interest Group on “Sustainability & Mediation” under the auspices of the International Law Association (ILA) – Hellenic Branch, newly formed by Theodora Iliana Papacharalabous (Chair) and Dimitris Emvalomenos (Vice-Chair).

The Interest Group aims to explore and stress out the interlinkage between sustainability and mediation at both national and international levels and contribute to the development of international law into these topics. A key focus will be to demonstrate mediation as a significant ESG practice and to advance concrete proposals for its actual integration within the ESG standards.
