📍 GIAC is currently participating in the 83rd session of the UNCITRAL Working Group II (Dispute Settlement), convening in New York from February 16 to 20, 2026.

⚖️ This session is dedicated to critical amendments to the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration. The primary objective is to address the recognition and enforcement of electronic arbitral awards and electronic notices. These discussions underscore the necessity of formally defining electronic awards to reflect the increasing digitalization of dispute resolution.

🌐 Strategic Engagement: GIAC has served as an Observer member of UNCITRAL Working Groups II and III since 2018. While Working Group III focuses on Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) reform, our current engagement with Working Group II centers on vital developments in international commercial arbitration.

This engagement ensures that GIAC remains at the forefront of global legal developments, actively contributing to the decisions that shape the future of international arbitration.
