The Georgian government has officially launched Resolution №70, introducing new mandatory rules for obtaining the Right to Work. Whether you’re an employee or a business owner, here is what you need to know:

✅ Effective Date: The new rules kick in on March 1, 2026.

✅ New Quotas: Heads up! Courier services, passenger transport, and tourist guides currently have a 0-quota for work permits.

✅ Fees: Standard processing is 200 GEL (30 days), or you can fast-track it for 400 GEL (10 days).

✅ Self-Employed? You now need to apply directly through the new portal and pass a mandatory video interview.

✅ Deadlines: If you’re already active in Georgia, the enforcement for self-employed individuals starts May 1, 2026.
