Inner Temple are holding a question and answer day to answer all your bar-related questions.

Workshops will be held on a variety of topics:
• Training for the Bar and the BPTC
• Funding and scholarships
• Writing a Legal CV
• Interview tips and tricks
• Life as a pupil, junior tenant and employed barrister
• Pupillage

The Question and Answer Day is free to attend, but advance booking is essential.

INNER TEMPLE DINNER FOR THE UNIVERSITIES - 7TH MARCH

Inner Temple are holding a dinner for students interested in pursuing a career at the Bar.

The dinner will be held in the Inner Temple Hall, where you will have the opportunity to meet practising members to discuss the Bar.

The evening will start with a drinks reception at 6:30pm with doors opening at 6:15pm. It is expected to end at approximately 10:00pm.

The dress code is Black Tie or National Dress Preferred, but alternatively dark suits and dark shoes for both male and female will be suitable.

GRAY'S INN ADVOCACY AND MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES - TALK AND DRINKS WITH BARONESS HALE

The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn are running two advocacy days in 2017. There are no charges to attend.

First event:

Saturday 11th March 2017 University Advocacy Day for 2nd year law and GDL students

Saturday 21st October 2017 University Advocacy Day for 3rd or 4th year law students

This event will comprise a talk on advocacy from Mukul Chawla QC, Head of Chambers at 9-12 Bell Yard and students will also experience advocacy and ethics training from some of the most eminent advocates in the country such as Ali Bajwa QC, Sally Ann Hales QC, HHJ Lynn Tayton QC, Alex Milne QC and Christina Michalos.

There will be a drinks reception in Hall hosted by The Treasurer, Baroness Hale, Deputy President of the Supreme Court and to which Bar course students, pupils, practitioners and judges will be invited.

LINCOLNS INN UNIVERSITY INFORMATION AND DINNER WEDNESDAY 22 MARCH 2017

Lincolns Inn will be holding a University Information Afternoon & Dinner on Wednesday 22 March for undergraduates interested in becoming barristers. This is not limited to those studying law.

The programme will begin at 4.30pm and you will hear from barristers on a range of subjects, including training, career opportunities and life at the Bar. The talks will be followed by a drinks reception and dinner. The formal part of the event will finish by 8.30pm, however, you are welcome to stay and mix with other attendees. The event is £20 per head.

Priority is given to first years, second years and also to those that have never attended an event such as this and who are interested in a career at the Bar.

Due to a large development project at the Inn, this event is only available for 6 individuals. Therefore if you are interested in this event, please email the Bar Society at [email protected] with your name and a few short lines as to why you should be chosen to attend.
