At The Eighth Day, we’re taking a 360 approach to learning. That means thinking about your energy, your focus and how you feel, alongside the practical knowledge you’ll take away.
You’re travelling from miles away, taking time out of your clinic and making arrangements at home to be there. We want you to have the space to arrive properly and get the very best from the day.
Originally, I booked our sound bath to finish with. But after speaking at length with Rachel Woods Lumi Sound Spa Leeds , who will be leading it, we moved it to the beginning.
Rachel has been running sound baths at David Lloyd in North Leeds and across the area for years. She explained that people often tell her they leave feeling more focused, energised and ready to take on the world.
That’s exactly how I want you to feel as we begin.
There’s emerging science around this too. A small study of singing bowl meditation found that people reported less tension and fatigue afterwards. The research is still developing, but it’s an encouraging reason to make space for relaxation.
Connection matters too. It’s part of what women’s circles offer: time to come together, share experiences and feel supported. Research into women’s social relationships highlights the benefits of supportive connections for psychological wellbeing.
When you spend so much of your time being responsible for everyone and everything, being in a room with people who understand can mean a lot.
So we’ll start with coffee, conversation and a little networking, followed by Rachel’s sound bath before we move into the workshops and talks.
Our aim is for you to feel settled, connected and ready to participate, with the energy and headspace to focus on your business.
That’s our 360 approach to learning at The Eighth Day. Practical knowledge, wellbeing, connection and time to put it all into action.
